Okay, so, um, yeah, it’s snow!  There is currently 6 inches of snow on the ground that fell Friday morning.  It sleeted last night which left a top layer of ice that makes it quite difficult for my Greyhounds to walk.  I have to walk ahead of them to crush the ice so they can walk around without cutting their paws.  It’s pretty to look at but I’ve had enough.  We normally do not get this much snow in a winter.  We mostly just get a dusting if anything.  It’s been a very cold winter so far even though proponents of global warming say that the temperatures are rising on earth.  Perhaps Tennessee is being punished for having the number one “Global Warming Guy”, Al Gore, lives here.  It seems everywhere he goes the weather gets colder.  Oh well…it’s the cost of living in wonderful Music City!

Keep warm my dear friends!

Tiny-Plastic-People-15In this new episode, I dip into a little of this and a little of that which has been going on this week.  I chat about my hearing loss and how my hearing aids are doing.  I also talk about how my Greyhound Boys are doing.  I speak of my love for my father.  He is the BEST!  I also speak of the new season of drum and bugle corps and the new addition to the activity.

Thank you for all of your support and for your comments.  It’s great to hear from you.  Keep your comments and e-mail coming!  Thom@ThomTakesOnTheWorld.com

children-jump1aIn this new episode I give you an update to my results of my tests that I recently had.  It’s not all good news.  It’s something that I am concerned about.  Thank you so very much for your support during this time in my life.

I chat also about my podcast.  I am getting close to 1,000 downloads.  Please help me get there before my one year anniversary.  Spread the word and download those episodes that you have not downloaded.  I also talk about how my blog has attracted the attention of spammers.  Ughs!

In this episode, I also chat about how I have been successful with training Connor to keep his crate clean.  He has been coming out of his shell and been playing with toys.  It’s cool to see him having fun.

I then expressed my concern of a child in my neighborhood.  We need to keep the children that we have safe from predators that lurk around seeking to do evil.  Listen to what I experienced today with a girl who walked into my yard.

Please send me comment or e-mail in response to this episode.  I am interested in hearing what you have to say.  It is an important topic.

Thanks for reading and I hope that you have a great day!

What a hodge podge of an episode!  This latest installment is a major “shotgun” episode where I try and piece together all that has happened to me during the past eleven days.  I talk about my “bout” with the awful stomach virus, the meet and greet (a.k.a. whiff and sniff) with Greyhounds, and a ballroom competition.  It seems that the passing of my beloved Danny Boy has touched folks out there.  I hope that the thigns that I have said will give comfort to those who have experienced the same loss as I have.  I honestly cannot say enough to those who have shared with me their stories and their support.  You are awesome.  “Thank You” just seems insufficient, but it’s all I got for you.

Yup!  I finally did it.  Listen to find out what I have been doing over these past few weeks while I was taking a break.  I chat about friendship, my dogs, and the recent election.  Thank you for your concern for me.  I have been doing all right.  It’s been a while since I put together a podcast or wrote in a blog so please forgive any sort of “glitches” that you may notice.  I am a bit rusty, but I think that the episode came together rather well.  Please feel free to write to me or leave a comment.  It would be great to hear from you again.  I’ll try to podcast a bit more often now.

Thanks for being my friends!
