Yes, I have aids…HEARING AIDS! I went today to get them fitted and “tweaked” to suit my needs. I am grateful for the opportunity to improve the hearing that I still have so that I can have clear and effective communication. I chat about that and other issues on this episode of my podcast.
Some have wondered how to download my episodes. Well, you will have to download the free iTunes software first and then click on the purple icon found on the top right hand corner of this web page. It will bring you to the iTunes software that you downloaded. Click on subscribe once you see iTunes and there you go! Quite easy…er…uh…once you know how to do it! If you have any problems, please let me know. I know how difficult things can be when you are not savvy on the computer.
Thank you for your continued support of my little podcast here. I appreciate the comments and encouragement.

Celebrating ONE year of podcasting, I give you a little historical background of how I got started doing my podcast. I then give the mic over to several of my fellow podcasters who sent me some wonderful greetings. Guess who won the Nashville Coffee Mug for sending me the most innovative and funny file? It took a long time putting this episode together, but it was a lot of fun as well. I hope that you will enjoy this one. It’s been a rough year for me, as you can learn from my episodes thus far, however having you there with me through it all certainly has helped. Thank you for being my friends who care and who download my episodes.
Keep in touch with my by leaving me your comments or sending me e-mail to: Thom@ThomTakesOnTheWorld.com I always look forward to hearing from you. You can also leave me a rating on iTunes if you’d like. Keep in touch!

I start this episode by poking fun at myself at the very beginning off by telling the listener that it really is episode 041 because I mistakenly gave the wrong episode number last week. I then chat about the audio files sent to me regarding my next week’s anniversary episode. I also talk about purchasing a Haier Microwave/Convection Oven. Keep you eye out here for an update regarding its arrival and use. I then delve into being considerate towards others. I still welcome audio files regarding my anniversary episode until Thursday. The one who sends the most unique, clean, and entertaining message wins an authentic Nashville Coffee Mug!
Thank you for being a friend to me and my podcast!

I finally was able to upload this episode. I first mistakenly announce that it is episode 039 instead of episode 040. Who’d think that I would make a mistake? LOL
I chat about my week and the busy one that it was.
I also speak about my Greyhounds and how there are doing. Are you surprised about that? LOL
I then talk about the applications that I like on my iPhone. I let you listen in on some of the sounds that they make. Most of my applications are FREE!
Please send me your MP3 Files for my Anniversary Episode. I am sure that you will want to be in the competition to win the Nashville Mug that I have for the one who sends in the most entertaining greeting. For you podcasters out there, please feel free to give your contact information within your greeting. Just remember, I have a CLEAN podcast.
That’s it for now. I’m ready to hit the hay. It’s been a rough day!

In this new episode of TTOTW I talk about my blood test results, temperatures in the office, and then watching Extreme Makeover; Home Edition. I also talk about how “Good Friday” turned out to be a very “Bad Friday” for folks just south of where I live. So…have I whet your appetite enough?
I also talk about the poll and read a few comments. Thanks for taking the time to send me these! It’s good to know that there are folks who like to respond.
I will be celebrating my one year anniversary next month. If you would like to send me a comment for my anniversary episode, please send it to my e-mail account: Thom@ThomTakesOnTheWorld.com. If you would like to send a voice comment to my e-mail address, please identify yourself and make the audio file mp3.
Thank you for your continued support. You are great! Wow!

Yup! I am dancing knowing that they got all of the cancer during the procedure a few weeks ago. Thank you for standing with me with your e-mails, comments, phone calls, and other ways that you sent me your love and well wishes. During this time of waiting, I have experienced the true sense of family from you. It was an incredible feeling knowing that even though I was alone physically in the consultation room today, you were there … right there with me in spirit!
Okay…now you wanna know what is going on with me. Okay…me too! They did tell me that there was severe irritation found so they drew some blood (four vials worth) to do some more extensive testing. There is a chance that I may have diabetes and/or Chrones disease. I hope that all will be all right. At least it is not cancer. That would have been the worse thing I could think of having.
Well…there ya go! I’m feeling relieved as the man in the painting is. By the way, Steve Walker (the artist) is awesome, eh? He has a way of expressing emotion in his paintings that I can relate with. The colors that he chooses to use are soothing.
Thank you once again for being there for me. I’ll be doing another episode on Sunday. Keep your eyes and ears open, because I’ll be out there!

Connor, aka PTL Brett, is the winner in this contest…and I think that he knows it. He has gotten used to living in a house rather quickly. He always lived at the dog track so understanding stairs, carpet, and windows are all new to him. He has done quite well. Jared has taken to him and has showed him our routine like an older brother should. I have found out that Connor’s father, Brett Lee, is the world’s fastest Greyhound! Look him up on www.YouTube.com and you will find several videos of just how fast his father was on the track. I guess that is where Connor gets his need for speed comes from. Connor was an awesome speedster on the track…winning a great number of races in his career.
Thanks to those 33 folks who voted in the poll. It was a good poll and I will be posting another one soon. I will also be creating another episode to my podcast, “Thom Takes On The World”, later on in this week. There seems to be a larger number of downloads to my little podcast for some reason. I guess the word is getting out about it. I guess soon I will not be able to call it my “little podcast” anymore. I am hoping to have 1,000 downloads before my one year anniversary (May 26, 2009). We’ll see if that comes true or not. I’m not out to reap in numbers, but it is kind of fun to see how many out there are downloading TTOTW.
Well…I guess that I will end it here for now. I appreciate all of the kind comments and e-mails from everyone. Feel free to contact me by using my e-mail address: Thom@ThomTakesOnTheWorld.com. It’s always cool to hear from you.
Keep your eyes and ears open because I’ll be out there!
