This is honestly a different type of episode. I interview Lynn (a Drum Corps International East volunteer) and Clay (a future member of a drum and bugle corps). Please forgive the audio, I explain why it’s bad in the episode. I think that this is one of the very best content episodes that I have done. I can’t believe that I have 50 episodes of my podcast out there! On this episode, I chat about my week of drum and bugle corps from Murfreesboro, Tennessee. I mention some folks who became instant friends. I had a great time there! I then mention about how my lunch and supper out today were ruined by bratty kids. Please take a listen to what happened and feel free to leave your comments here on my blog. I am working on getting a voice mail box for my blog/podcast. I’ll let you know when that launches. Even though I will be away for the next two weekends, I will try my best to record those episodes whilst on the road.

Friday night at Middle Tennessee State University was the sight for night number two for drum corps! I met up again with Susan and Rich. This time I was wearing my 27th Lancers t-shirt…the same style that she was wearing the night before! I was glad to see them again.
I thought that I would post this picture of Phantom Regiment just for Taffy from Pod Is My Copilot. They did a great job and was one of the most enjoyable corps of the evening. For some reason, this 2008 World DCI Champion has been having a difficult time with getting good scores this year.
One funny thing happened tonight. There was a group of Boston Crusaders fans sitting near me. They all yelled, “Eat ‘Em Up Crusaders” when the corps was about to begin. There was one person who did not yell that but wanted to so she told the ones who did that she wanted to join in. They said, “Just yell solo!” So…she did! She yelled, “SOLO!” We all cracked up and all the more so when she looked around and asked us why we were laughing. They told her that they meant that she could yell, “Eat ‘Em Up Crusaders” by herself.
I bought some bumperstickers for my SUV and did not succumb to the temptations to buy things out of my budget. I could have bought a few t-shirts but I’m choosey.
I’m worn out so I’m going to bed now. Just thought that I would post this before I slid into bed. Please feel free to leave a comment.

In this new episode, I dip into a little of this and a little of that which has been going on this week. I chat about my hearing loss and how my hearing aids are doing. I also talk about how my Greyhound Boys are doing. I speak of my love for my father. He is the BEST! I also speak of the new season of drum and bugle corps and the new addition to the activity.
Thank you for all of your support and for your comments. It’s great to hear from you. Keep your comments and e-mail coming! Thom@ThomTakesOnTheWorld.com

I know that this picture is not the clearest picture that I could have posted on here, however, I do plan on posting a short edited version of the footage that I took today at the Greyhound Gathering in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. In this episode I talk about this event as well as chatting about my vacation plans and how to leave a comment on iTunes. I do appreciate you for reading this blog and for subscribing to my podcast. Please feel free to leave me your comments here on my blog or by sending an e-mail to me at: Thom@ThomTakesOnTheWorld.com.
Take care of one another and yourself as well!

I have been really enjoying watching the drum and bugle corps compete with eachother. I have now been to two shows: Louisville and Murfreesboro. The shows from each corps are packed with great music and marching. I am looking forward to next weekend (Friday and Saturday evenings) in Allentown, Pennsylvania. I have my tickets and am ready to go! From what I have read, Drum Corps International will not be broadcasting on cable this year so you can either catch them live or on the DCI website if you become a subscriber. Go to www.DCI.org and look it up.
Who are you going to root for? I know who I am rooting for. I’ll be posting another episode of Thom Takes On The World on iTunes tomorrow. I’ll be chatting about my favorite television shows and respond to your comments of my blog and podcast.
