This is honestly a different type of episode. I interview Lynn (a Drum Corps International East volunteer) and Clay (a future member of a drum and bugle corps). Please forgive the audio, I explain why it’s bad in the episode. I think that this is one of the very best content episodes that I have done. Please send me your comments to Thom@ThomTakesOnTheWorld.com or call me at 615-358-TALK.

I took this picture of Santa Clara Vanguard from tonight’s Drum Corps International show at Middle Tennessee State University. I sat with Susan and her husband Rich and had a great time. She was wearing a 27th Lancer t-shirt. I knew that we would hit it off well. We both had our iPhones and shared our love of applications.
The show tonight was simply wonderful. It’s one thing to watch drum corps on the internet, it’s totally different seeing it in person. I’ll be back Friday night for “part two” of the show.
I’ll also be traveling to Allentown, Pennsylvania next week to do the same thing next Friday and Saturday night. I’ll see most of the same corps there plus a few other ones. I enjoy seeing the differences the corps make in a week’s time. It’s amazing how much improvement can be made in just one week.
It’s really late and I need sleep since I have to go to work tomorrow.

In this new episode, I dip into a little of this and a little of that which has been going on this week. I chat about my hearing loss and how my hearing aids are doing. I also talk about how my Greyhound Boys are doing. I speak of my love for my father. He is the BEST! I also speak of the new season of drum and bugle corps and the new addition to the activity.
Thank you for all of your support and for your comments. It’s great to hear from you. Keep your comments and e-mail coming! Thom@ThomTakesOnTheWorld.com

In this new episode, I chat about some folks that I met at Podcamp Nashville. I also chat about what’s been going on with my Greyhounds. My summer plans for viewing drum corps are revealed. A new comment on iTunes is mentioned and thanked as well. Please feel free to leave me a comment or send me an e-mail. You’ll never know if I’ll read it on an upcoming episode. If you prefer that I keep in private, I will keep it private.
Take care, my podcasting friends!

In this episode I chat about my trip to Pennsylvania to Philadelphia and to New Jersey. I chat about drum and bugle corps, hotel problems, as well as my time with my parents. The pictures above are from Allentown: The pressbox from the stadium and the Bridgemen Drum and Bugle Corps. Please leave your comments here and consider giving me a five star rating on iTunes!

In this episode, I chat about the beginnings of my interest in drum and bugle corps. I have followed the activity now for over 30 years and always find it to be interesting and entertaining. If you are near any of their competitions this summer, GO! Find out where they will be and how to get tickets by going to either www.dci.org or to www.corpsreps.com for further information. Monday is when I’ll be going to Louisville, Kentucky for my first dose of live drum corps competition! I need my “fix”! I’ll also be attending the events in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Allentown, Pennsylvania. If you see me, stop by and say “hi”!
