Connor, aka PTL Brett, is the winner in this contest…and I think that he knows it. He has gotten used to living in a house rather quickly. He always lived at the dog track so understanding stairs, carpet, and windows are all new to him. He has done quite well. Jared has taken to him and has showed him our routine like an older brother should. I have found out that Connor’s father, Brett Lee, is the world’s fastest Greyhound! Look him up on www.YouTube.com and you will find several videos of just how fast his father was on the track. I guess that is where Connor gets his need for speed comes from. Connor was an awesome speedster on the track…winning a great number of races in his career.
Thanks to those 33 folks who voted in the poll. It was a good poll and I will be posting another one soon. I will also be creating another episode to my podcast, “Thom Takes On The World”, later on in this week. There seems to be a larger number of downloads to my little podcast for some reason. I guess the word is getting out about it. I guess soon I will not be able to call it my “little podcast” anymore. I am hoping to have 1,000 downloads before my one year anniversary (May 26, 2009). We’ll see if that comes true or not. I’m not out to reap in numbers, but it is kind of fun to see how many out there are downloading TTOTW.
Well…I guess that I will end it here for now. I appreciate all of the kind comments and e-mails from everyone. Feel free to contact me by using my e-mail address: Thom@ThomTakesOnTheWorld.com. It’s always cool to hear from you.
Keep your eyes and ears open because I’ll be out there!
I’m still not quite over the loss of my beloved Danny Boy. I chat honestly about it and how Jared is doing. Come and take a listen. Please feel free to leave a comment here on my blog. I know that some of you may have tried before, but had difficulty. My webmaster says that there should not be any problems. IF there is, please e-mail me at: Thom@ThomTakesOnTheWorld.com and let me know specifically what the problem is so that I can let my webmaster know.
I take a small look back to last year and then look forward to this year in this episode. Thank you so very much for all of your support during my sadness. I am sure blessed to have friends like you who have come to support me when I needed it. Life is not always predictable. Who knows what will take place in this new year? No one really knows. Yeah, we have plans, but will they take place?
I also chat about my new roomate and my trip this week for business. There is not much going on with me. Thank you for giving me a chance to come into your lives via iTunes and this website. I hope that something that I have said has helped you in some way. Please feel free to leave me a comment here or send me an e-mail: Thom@ThomTakesOnTheWorld.com. You do not have to join anything to do that.
May this New Year be the very best that you ever had!
The 27th Lancers Drum and Bugle Corps from Revere, Massachusetts is my all-time favorite corps. They are no longer together in this competitive form. This video shows that last few moments of their competitive existence in 1985. I thought that I would share this with you so that you get a little peak into who I am.
