I can’t believe that I have 50 episodes of my podcast out there!  On this episode, I chat about my week of drum and bugle corps from Murfreesboro, Tennessee.  I mention some folks who became instant friends.  I had a great time there!  I then mention about how my lunch and supper out today were ruined by bratty kids.  Please take a listen to what happened and feel free to leave your comments here on my blog.  I am working on getting a voice mail box for my blog/podcast.  I’ll let you know when that launches.  Even though I will be away for the next two weekends, I will try my best to record those episodes whilst on the road.

Hello My Favorite Nashville Friend Thom:

I am glad that you are having lots of fun with your drum and bugle corps! It was nice to hear that you made new friends there and you had something in common! You were both fans of the 27 Lancers! Congrats of not having a migrane in a week! It never fails to me when I go out to a restaurant to have lunch or dinner and I am sittting right next to or across from a baby or little children and all they do is scream and cry and make a lot of noise! The waiter will not say anything because they are a paying customer! They might think that you are going to make a rude comment to them so it is best to finish your food, pay your bill and get out from the restaurant! Talking to a Manager of the restaurant will also not help! The manager would have expressed to you that I can not do anything about it because they are a paying customer! The manager could have moved you to another table but then again who knows who is sitting right next to you or across from you! It could be another set of rowdy children! They have no consideration for other people in the restaurant! Thom you do not need another migrane coming on with those rowdy children at the restaurant! That was the best way to handle the situation! Eat quickly, pay your bill and get out from the restaurant! I am glad that you are keeping busy and lets hope that you do not have any migranes especially when you go visit your parents! I am also glad that you are working on getting a voice mail box for your podcasts! Finally we are going to have a listener line in the works! Take Care My Favorite Nashville Friend! From The Good Humor Penquin!

I can not agree with you more about screaming kids. Parents are terrible these days. There isn’t much you can do about it. I would probably do my best to ignore it and leave ASAP… and maybe not go to that restaurant again.

So glad to hear you’ve been migraine free for a week. I hope it continues!!

  3. Ramble Redhead Says:

Congrats on reaching 50 shows!!! Great job! I am glad you had a fun time sitting with the couple and enjoyed the fun! I can’t stand screaming kids either and the parents should be slapped! I wish you the best in regards to migraines I know they can’t be fun!

  4. Stevy B Says:

I don’t think I’ve written but I’ve been with you since the beginning. Great job getting to 50! Also, congratulations on the migraine-free week. I had my first one freshman year in college, but fortunately they don’t come too often. It’s been more than a year since I’ve had to deal with one. I feel for you!

  5. Ben Says:

I think if someone had bad children, I would keep jeering in the parent’s direction and talking really loud “I wish those kids would shut up!” Eventually, the parents will get the hint because usually it will bring attention to other people… then either they’ll MAKE their children shut up… OR they’ll get frustrated and leave which is always fun. And ‘yay’ getting to #50! :)
