Hey Gang,

I’m looking for a new co-host for a conversational styled podcast. There are, however, prerequisites that you must qualify for in order to do so:

Be originally from New Jersey
Be currently living in the “South”
Be a male above the age of 21
Be able to chat about “adult nature”  and gay issues
Have Skype downloaded onto your computer
Have a good set of headphones
Have a good microphone
Be willing to record an episode weekly

If you meet all of these criteria and don’t mind laughing it up, let me know via e-mail. Put in the subject line: “Co-Host” so it will not be automatically deleted. There is no pay for this position, just self satisfaction of a job well-done.

The style of the podcast is to be one of a conversation to discuss what has been going on in your life, how we don’t do things in the South like we did when we lived in New Jersey, and whatever other things we feel like discussing. This podcast will contain conversations of an adult nature which would not be suitable for those under 21 years of age. It will be sent to iTunes and will contain its own blog.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

I have been really enjoying watching the drum and bugle corps compete with eachother. I have now been to two shows: Louisville and Murfreesboro. The shows from each corps are packed with great music and marching. I am looking forward to next weekend (Friday and Saturday evenings) in Allentown, Pennsylvania. I have my tickets and am ready to go! From what I have read, Drum Corps International will not be broadcasting on cable this year so you can either catch them live or on the DCI website if you become a subscriber. Go to www.DCI.org and look it up.

Who are you going to root for? I know who I am rooting for. I’ll be posting another episode of Thom Takes On The World on iTunes tomorrow. I’ll be chatting about my favorite television shows and respond to your comments of my blog and podcast.

I briefly revisit my last episode’s topic, “Honesty” to give clarification before chatting about my favorite car: The Delorean Motor Car. Please feel free to leave me a comment here on my blog regarding my episode and also I would encourage you to leave me a five star rating on iTunes. I only have two reviews so I would like to see more on iTunes.

I’ll post again sometime on Saturday regarding the Drum Corps Show at Middle Tennessee State University from Friday night.

It’s up and running on iTunes.  Go and refresh your account to download it to your computer and iPod.  I talk about honesty and how we need to be more honest with ourselves and each other.  It is a good mark of character and one that is in need of work.  We all need to be honest more often…well…all the time actually.  I also chat about what I have been doing and where I am planning to go to watch more drum corps competitions.

Sometime during the day yesterday, you put me over the 100 download mark!  Whoohoo!  Whoops.  I guess that my Southern boy just came out!  LOL

I am so honored to have only 5 episodes out there in “Cyberland” and to have 100 downloads!  I actually have 109 downloads as of today, Tuesday.  Wow.  I am amazed and surprised.  I have never thought that my little podcast would get this attention.  Thank you so very much for listening to what I have to say.  iTunes has put me on the “New and Notable” listing.  I would have thought that I would have to be getting a thousand downloads to do that.  Who’d a thought?

Thank you all so very much for listening and for spreading the word about my little podcast.

In this episode, I chat about the beginnings of my interest in drum and bugle corps.  I have followed the activity now for over 30 years and always find it to be interesting and entertaining.  If you are near any of their competitions this summer, GO!  Find out where they will be and how to get tickets by going to either www.dci.org or to www.corpsreps.com for further information.  Monday is when I’ll be going to Louisville, Kentucky for my first dose of live drum corps competition!  I need my “fix”!  I’ll also be attending the events in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Allentown, Pennsylvania.  If  you see me, stop by and say “hi”!

Thank you so very much for downloading my podcasts!  As of this minute, today has been the biggest day for downloading my podcast, “Thom Takes On The World”.  I have had 89 total downloads!  Today alone, there has been 12!  That totally blows my mind since I only have 4 episodes out there.  Who knew this would happen?

There are reasons for this.  I have to give BIG THANKS to Nick Thomas, Pod Is My Copilot, and to Riding With Bill -The Bill Show.  You have allowed me to promote my show and have talked it up to your audience.  I am sure that without your support, I would not have been able to achieve this number of downloads.  I am honored to have been able to have you as my Podcasting Friends.

I will let you know when the 100th download takes place.  It should not take long.  Keep on checking out this blog and you will see it soon.  My guess is that this will happen sometime by Monday or Tuesday.

As always, leave a message if you’d like.  You will never know if I will mention you on one of my podcasts!  If you would prefer me not to do so, just let me know.

THANKS!

Thom
