Hi Everyone! I know that I did not post a podcast episode this weekend. I just needed to take a breather if you know what I mean. Don’t worry. It certainly does NOT mean that I am through with podcasting. I’ll post another episode this weekend.
Independence Day is one of my favorite holidays. I remember how my great ancestor signed the Declaration of Independence for the state of New Jersey. I take time out to think of all who put their lives on the line to create such a beautiful republic where we can be free and live in a structured peaceful society without fear of or from the government. What a wonderful country! I’ve always been proud to be an American.
Happy Birthday America!

Gone, but certainly NOT forgotten! Ed, Farrah, and Michael, you will forever be in our hearts, minds, and ears! Until we see each on the other side!

In this new episode, I dip into a little of this and a little of that which has been going on this week. I chat about my hearing loss and how my hearing aids are doing. I also talk about how my Greyhound Boys are doing. I speak of my love for my father. He is the BEST! I also speak of the new season of drum and bugle corps and the new addition to the activity.
Thank you for all of your support and for your comments. It’s great to hear from you. Keep your comments and e-mail coming! Thom@ThomTakesOnTheWorld.com

Thanks to you, my friends, I have crossed into having 2,000 downloads. Just a few short months ago I was hoping for 1,000 downloads. I’m really not a numbers whore, but I really appreciate all who have been listening to my little podcast out here. Crossing another line in podcasting is something that I want to celebrate with everyone out there.

Yes, I have aids…HEARING AIDS! I went today to get them fitted and “tweaked” to suit my needs. I am grateful for the opportunity to improve the hearing that I still have so that I can have clear and effective communication. I chat about that and other issues on this episode of my podcast.
Some have wondered how to download my episodes. Well, you will have to download the free iTunes software first and then click on the purple icon found on the top right hand corner of this web page. It will bring you to the iTunes software that you downloaded. Click on subscribe once you see iTunes and there you go! Quite easy…er…uh…once you know how to do it! If you have any problems, please let me know. I know how difficult things can be when you are not savvy on the computer.
Thank you for your continued support of my little podcast here. I appreciate the comments and encouragement.

In this new episode, I speak about how we all get good news and bad news. Most of the time the bad news come first, but it is the good news that comes second. It is the good news that is sometimes hard to find but it is out there if you think long enough. I talk about that in this episode in hopes that if you are going through a time of “bad news” I hope that you will be able to find the good news to help you through your difficult times.
There is a reason why I chose this picture to go with this podcast episode. Even though there is a small guy mowing your beard…which is a scary thought…the good news is that when you wake up you won’t have to shave. I just hope that the blade is at a level where it does not cut lower than you want it to…if you know what I mean…! Ouch!
Thank you for stopping by.

This is a picture of my new microwave/convection oven that I bought with the money my parents gave me for my birthday. Ain’t it sharp looking? It has been working very well and I love it. I chat about this and being on Archer Radio’s podcast, and other things that has been going on with me. I had a great birthday and I was happy that I did not have a migraine during it. I also chat about Scotty O’s e-mail that he sent to me. Did I whet your curiosity enough?
I hope that you will enjoy this episode!
